Ugh!!!! I just came down with a terrible summer head cold! I'm literally blowing my nose every minute or two. I'm a disgusting mess. I can't even breathe thru my nose.

Is there anything I can take or any other at-home cold remedies you can think of for a stuffy/runny nose? I'm miserable and desperate!

Last night I set up a humidifier and used some Vicks vapo-rub. That kinda-sorta helped a little, but I actually have to go into the office tomorrow and I obviously can't bring the humidifier with me.

HELP!!! I'm a mess!

Saline nasal spray, acetaminophen, rest. That's about it. Decongestants are out. If an antihistamine might help (with runni-ness) I think benadryl is okay, but you would need to check with a doctor.

You might call your doctor/midwife, they probably get asked that a lot!

This is the list my doctor's office gives out for cough and cold during pregnancy.

My doc said I was allowed to take sudafed.. And also rinsing with saline really does help.

Really? That is interested, I looked it up and its a category B, so it sounds reasonably safe, here I was thinking it was out! It is out for breastfeeding though, it has been shown to dry up milk...

I kept reading mixed reviews on medication. I had bad allergies so used the saline sinus rinse that you squirt up your nose and it comes out the other side. I don't like the process but it does help and it is safe :hugs:

Yea I could see how it would dry milk up.. But Yea my sinuses have been messed up terribly and every time I called she'd tell me to take sudafed.. I was nervous about it but I finally hit my breaking point and I had to.
