Pregnancy After Cerazette: How Long?

I was on Cerazette for a year. I stopped, had one period and became pregnant that month. I wasn't charting or anything so I don't know those details but it took less than a month before I fell pregnant. Healthy weight & fitness here as well.

Hi Irish Eyes,
Its so refreshing to hear positive news about Cerazette. How long after stopping the pill was it until you had your period. I am currently 35 days off and still nothing, have very saw nipples last week and this week my boobs are killing. Not really experienced any belly ach. I am just hoping AF shows up very soon.

I thought people needed to hear at least one positive story! I can be exact for you! I took the last pill on July 22nd 2011 and my period was August 14th (that's the date they took as my LMP). We weren't overly trying, just doing the legs up after sex kind of thing!

Good luck!!

it's nice to hear some people don't have problems after being on cerazette. i was on it for almost a year, my doctor told me to take two of them each day as i'm "plus size". and since coming off them in april 2011 my cycles have ranged from 21 days to 44 days!!! just hope that soon they will sort themselves out. good luck to all you ladies still trying.

Hi everyone,
So good to read all these posts. Feeling so incredibly down today as got my 2nd period after coming off Cerazette. (Don't know all the abbreviations so if anyone could help me out there that would be amazing!!)
Took last pill May 5th and had a 1 day withdrawl bleed a few days later. Got a normal period June 26th and then came on today, July 25th so incredibly close to a 28 day cycle. Depressed because had plenty of sex during fertile period.....

I know it hasn't been very long and am surprised at just how down I am about it, didn't really expect I would feel like this. Can't someone invent a magic fast forward button?!!

Anyway, would be great if everyone kept sharing their progress. It really helps to not feel so alone x

Ah Lallie, I know a lot of ladies will be able to sympathise with you! It's like as soon as you decide you want a baby, you're desperate for it to happen now. Hope it happens soon for you!

My experience was the opposit. I was told to expect it to take a year to conceive and my doctor advised me to come off the pill to let me body get back to normal. However we conceived the first month and honestly weren't ready. We had just paid for our wedding and were saving for a house so I ended up working my arse of doing loads of overtime all the way to 39 weeks to make sure we could. I had a horrible pregnancy so this was awful. Luckily we managed to buy the house but it made things a lot more stressful than it needed to be.

Thanks Irish Eyes,
It's so frustrating as I am a very logical person and I know that my feelings don't make sense- just can't control them!

I hear you with all the financial pressures and the added stress we stupidly put on ourselves. I am a teacher in Dubai and maternity leave is only 45 working days, can't afford for me not to work so am dreaming of a April (well, cancel that!) or May baby so I can return to work for just a couple of weeks/ last month of school before the summer holidays start. If I don't, am sure my boss will mess with my salary over the holidays!

How is life with your baby boy? Is he behaving himself for you?!

He's absolutely lovely! He's now 8 weeks and his personality is really starting to come through. I was worried I would miss work but not a chance! I'm actually already considering taking a demotion to be able to go back part time as my company don't allow managers to work part time hours.

Hi Steph, I was on Cerazette for 6 months. It caused all my hair to fall out so I came off it. (it's never grown back). That was over 2 years ago and we're still not pregnant. Been through all the usual tests, Im definitely ovulating for e.g., but have been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility". So our infertility might be just a coincidence or might be some other affect of Cerazette that the doctors cannot detect, who knows.

thought i would share a good news cerazette story. i came off it on the 1st of june 2011, got a normal period on 28th june, naturally expected another one around the same time in july but nothing came. having read the horror stories i got quite nervous and took a hpt and it was negative, waited a week and took another one and it was positive. so just wnt to reassure everyone that everyone is different and dont belive all the horrow stories. i was nearly convinced i would never have children after reading all the horrible horror stories...hope this helps to put your minds at rest xxx

Hi

I am very new to all this so need some help. I was on the injection for 6 years then changed to the pill and was advised that cerazette was the best option. I have been on it on and off for 6 years. The most recent stint of taking it every day has been for a year.

Me and my partner have now decided to try so i came off the pill a month ago. I have had pregnancy symptons but 3 tests all negative. I have looked on the net and am now worried that taking cerazette was not the best decision as i have yet to have a period and the last real period i had was a while ago.

Has anyone got any suggestions on what I can do to help myself?? sorry for not using abbreviations i will learn them soon i promise :happydance:

Thanks for any help you can all offer

Hi
