Hi guys,

I'm throwing this question out to anyone out there who has or knows women that have carried out having a successful pregnancy and they have an inverted sternum.

A male with the condition.

I had a moderate case of this condition until I started to work hard on my posture so it's now only mild. Along with this I have shallow breathing, I can hold my breath for bit and then breath normal. Without knowing I'm doing it.

Anyway I going on how terrible smoking is in pregnant women (no offense to those who do have a puff) and I said "I'm glad I don't smoke, it's a hard habit to break."

To which my OH said "You breathe to shallow and so your not getting enough oxygen in your blood to support a pregnancy." (He isn't a doctor, but he thinks he knows best).

I don't know I felt a bit wounded by his words. He often goes on about our future kids. Yet this one comment made me think perhaps his right, I might not have a successful pregnancy because of my shallow breathing.
