Anyone living the UK, what have you eaten from Pret A Manger? I used to eat there almost daily, they have the best sandwiches, but now I am scared because almost everything has mayo in or crayfish/tuna or a cheese I am not familiar with. I tried the hummus tortilla salad last week which was awesome.

Mayo's fine, I highly doubt they are using homemade mayo, it will be stuff from a jar which is fine. Tuna is also fine, just limit it to twice per week. Crayfish is fine too, its cooked but cold.

Have their fajita chicken hot wrap, its amazing!

I wouldn't worry about the Mayo it says this on the website

MAYONNAISE (Europe): No stabilisers, no preservatives, free-range eggs (we only use pasteurised eggs), shipped to us

There are only a few types of cheeses that you can't eat and you can still eat tuna just less than 4 tins worth a week, so one or two sandwiches would be fine.

Here is the website to check out any of the ingredients

Hi

This is what I found on the website, we have pret delivered to our offices every day so I was also concerned:

What foods are suitable for mums to be?

The good news is that all our mayos and yoghurts are pasteurised and so are completely safe for you to enjoy. Steer away from smoked salmon, sushi, brie, medium topside of beef, miso soup and prosciutto. Any questions please call us on 0845 205 0000. In addition, you can view details of all our products here.

Why are some of your products listed as not suitable for mums to be?

Advice for pregnant ladies can change from time to time. Some of the foods we mention might be deemed acceptable but we prefer to err on the side of caution. If ever in doubt please check for the latest pregnancy nutritional advice with your doctor.

There's nothing wrong with mayo or tuna.

I'm dying to know why miso soup is now a no no?

Me too, I thought it was healthy! May be the sodium content? Can't be that bad for pregnancy seems Japan has good sized population :)
