I am just looking for any kind of advice from anyone who has had their water break before 37 weeks.

So a little about me.

I am 28 and currently 10 weeks pregnant with baby number 4. I have a history of having my water break anywhere from 28-33 weeks with all my pregnancies. No history of a shortened cervix. There is no explanation for why it breaks early and im always in the hospital for a week after it does. I don't go into full blown labor (contractions) until I'm induced or days after I'm admitted. I am very anemic and the dr has me on iron supplements. He has referred me to a high risk specialist but they are over an hour away and am going to have to go every two weeks possibly every week depending on when they schedule the monitoring ultrasounds. I don't know how to prevent this. I am really scared to think that in 18 weeks my water could just break. Is there anything I can do to prolong my pregnancy?

My waters broke at 36 weeks with number 2, I think it was classed at PROM and not PPROM. I was just told it was most likely due to something like a uti, but it was never investigated.

If I were you I'd definately be followed
Closely by a night risk
Maternal fetal specialist. Also
I would definately put myself on strict bedrest as of a certain gestation in order to prevent as much as possible PROM.

well apparently I am even more high risk now since I had an ultrasound and found out I am pregnant with twins!! I will have normal ob appts every 4 weeks along with mfm appts every 4 weeks in between those....so now I get appts every 2 weeks.....hopefully I stay prego longer this time
