profile pic wont change

ive tried changing my profile photo.. and i know how to since ive done it before.. but this last week my picture wont change.. it shows its changed on the profile pic page but not when i post something

It shows on the profile picture page? On the left? If so you have changed your profile picture not your avatar. Both options are available.

i know but it only shows an old photo.. it wont let me update it anymore

Did you go to "change avatar"? Or "change profile picture"? If you want your avatar which is this
<------------------- picture, you have to change that as well.
