Hey there!

I am 5 weeks pregnant. In January, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, so my doctor is being pretty aggressive at making sure this little one stays where he/she is. I am getting my HCG numbers checked every 48 hours this week to see if there is an increase.

My doctor also put me on Progresterone suppositories (yech!). Has anyone else had to take this? If so, what were the side effects?

Thanks!

Hiya

I had "Cyclogest" pessaries with my son - Messy little buggers!

With me they made my boobs sore and I ended up with thrush! - Some women on Progesterone may experience Indigestion, irregular bleeding, bloating, fluid retention, breast tenderness, weight gain, feeling sick, headache, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness, depression, itching, skin rash, acne like spots, hair growth, hair loss or jaundice.

agressive is the word... especially after an early miscarriage. was it the first one ? or did it take you very long to concieve ?

We tried for 5 years to get pregnant before our miscarriage, which was 9 months ago.

This pregnancy is being carefully monitored. My Hcg levels are more than doubling every 2 days and I have a good progesterone level (even before taking the supplements). The doctor said that I don't "have to" take the suppositories now, but we have decided to stay on them "just in case"

well i send you all my love to give u a happy and healthy nine months
xxxx
