I posted a similar thread last month....

I'm on Progesterone again and feel like crap!! Does anyone else get horrible side effects from it? I feel sooooo sleepy, emotional, and nauseated!

Yep...I HATE progesterone!!! I won't mind it a bit when i'm pregnant, but until then, I detest it.

I feel extremely emotional, bloated, sore boobs, tired etc

I start prog in around a weeks time so i'll be with you then!

I'm with ya. When I'm pregnant, it'll be worth it. But, in the meantime, it sucks!

To add to it, mine is a vaginal suppository and it's constantly leaking! Ugh.

Have you tried doing the suppository at night before you go to bed? I did that the first time I used them but now my doc has prescribed me the pills. The side effects are still the same. I too feel kinda yucky too when I take them, but like y'all said, when we are pregnant, it will all be worth it!

Yes!! ME ME..I hate it too!!! I feel bloated and my skin is gross! Ick!

I reacted really badly to progesterone (Provera) - enormous, painful spots, bloating, hot flushes, nausea, constipation, tiredness and what I now realise was mild depression - along with some of the most vivid nightmares I've ever experienced.

The only thing which seemed to help was taking the pills at night just before bed and making sure I was really well hydrated. I was drinking about 2 litres of water during the day which seemed to ease all my symptoms except the nightmares.

Synthetic hormones are a nightmare, unfortunately a necessary evil for any of us having difficulty TTC!

I do take the suppository at night so that it's all absorbed by morning. Then I don't have to deal with leakage the entire day. Monday is my last Progesterone day (this cycle) and I am sooooo excited!
