Pumping and sterilizing?

I'm currently pumping for my little boy as he's still in hospital. I pump every 3 hours during the day and sterilize the pump parts each time I've used them. Is that right? I read the instructions online and it said to sterilize once a day but I'm concerned the parts won't be properly clean if I do it that way?

I've never BF before so this is all new to me

I sterilize daily, and wash with hot soapy water in between, but since your baby was an earlier gestation, I would do exactly what you're doing just to be sure nothing is growing in the cracks.

With my first son, I sterilized every time, but I've become a little more lax this time around
