I started with breast feeding but am having issues with a lot of pain in my nipples. I am going to pump because I still want him to get my milk. I just don't know how much to give him at a time. He is 2 weeks tomorrow. How many oz would you give per feeding? I am a FTM so I am new to all this. I don't want to over feed or underfeed. How much would you give in a bottle?

Pumping will prob make your nipples sore also just to warn you. It takes me till about 2-3 weeks then my nipples settle so yours may settle very soon. Oz I'm not 100% but I'd guess maybe 2 every 3hrs. Good luck x

I agree with bundle4me, although it didn't take me that long to ease up. I almost thought about stopping also, it hurt so much there was even a little blood. I was screaming every time dd latched.

My doctor prescribed a nipple cream, I believe it is the one on this page:

I found it did wonders!

I did get a pump earlier on and have tried it a couple times. I now find that breastfeeding hurts less than the pump.
