Hi everyone,

I due to have my second baby in a few week, my little boy will be 21months. We have being looking at pushchairs i cant make my mind up on having a twin pushchair or a tandem. I don't want a pushchair that is big and heavy. If you can give me your thoughts and views on your pushchair that would be great.

# Tandem pushchair

# Twin Pushchairs

Thanks

this seems good :)
i think a twin pushchair is too bulky and sometimes cant get around shops or on buses.
my eldest is 3 so a good walker so he has a buggy board

That's a clever idea!

It does look really good, seems much better than the "normal" tandem or side by side pushchairs, that was until i read the part about the front seat only being used from 6 months! So you would have to find something to last until LO was 6 months anyway by which point the older child may be walking better/longer.

i think the idea is you use the carseat till then? may be wrong though :haha:
i think that pushchairs an awesome idea :)!

Hi hun, my dd will be 15 months old when this lo is born. We've bought a twin pushchair. I like them better as both children can see what's going on, I can get to them easier. Mine's really lightweight compared to the single travel system I have now for my dd. I bought mine from Kiddicare and it's by Babyweavers. It cost us £130.00 but came with two footmuffs, I don't think my dd will be able to use it for very long though as it's on the small side and a rain cover.

For me, the tandems are too bulky and the second child when it's old enough to take an interest in it's surroundings can't look around very well. Also the tandems I looked at the seats for both didn't look very comfy or padded either. but that's just me though.

i will be getting a twin too.
i think i will just find it a lot easier to push to be honest. no idea what exact twin though!

I've just got a Phil and teds double off eBay for a bargain! We live in a small country town where pavements are narrow and same with shop doors so I knew I couldn't get a side by side double, if you are going to be using buses or other public transport think about whether the buggy will even fit on a bus. I had thought about just getting a buggy board for our single buggy but wondered how I would keep my oldest warm and dry over the winter months!

Had a tandem and it's really not practical for babies who like nap if you are out. My phil and teds got sold the minute I realised this. Bought a city mini side by side and it's just fab!!!!

We have the baby jogger city mini double and absolutely love it :) x

Thanks for all your post, i still cant make my mind up. I think im just going to go to the shops and try them out to see which one i like

My eldest is almost 2 and youngest is almost 8 months so we had to get a double. We did alot of research and tried out many different ones but settled on the Baby Jogger City Select.Suits all our needs, multiple seat positions so that neither child gets bored or ignored, can be used as a single and so easy to set up/take down!I didnt want a side by side as they do struggle with some shop doors and even some house doors so a tandem is wot we went for.
