How long do you have to wait untill you push your LO in the pram after a C-Section?Id love to take LO out walks in the pram soon.My pram is light also.Thanks.xxx

I took my LO out in her travel system 5 das later. I had no idea i was even meant to wait. I just did what feels comfy. I have vertually no pain now and im on day 12. So when ever you feel comfy i would say. Just dont lift it up pavements use the bits by crossing that go down onto road

i 1st took the pram out the other day so just over 2 weeks. My pram is very light to push, but heavy to lift out the house to get it up so i can only go out with it when the hubby is here to help me lift it :(

It was about 3 weeks with DS2 (em c section after abruption, very painful recovery) but it was still painful so DH pushed him for another week or two.

With DD it was 2 weeks, only because we were in hospital for a week and then I didn't go anywhere except with DH and he pushed the pram.

Personally, I would wait 2 weeks. Not because of pushing the pram, but even though I recovered super quick with DD (I was driving after 2 weeks) I still got tired quite rapidly, so wouldn't want to go out for a walk feeling fine and then suddenly get tired or sore and have to walk back home. Or just don't go that far...

And also, awww, my DS1 is a Michael too :D

There is no reason you cant go out a few days post section providing you feel comfortable, What the mws dont ideally want you doing is pushing UP hill as this puts strain on your stomach, If you are walking on the flat then go for it. I went out on day 6 post section & have to say i loved going out, I took it steady & didnt go that far but i felt such a relief & kinda like a " ive done it " feeling came over me.

Dont do it if you really dont feel ready though hun, & when you do take your time & remember to stop every now & then x

i took lewis out 5 days after the c-section i wish i didnt though oh my god my poor back hurt like hell from all the walking

i took Sophie out 5 days after my c section. It was hard going but i just did as much as i could. 2 days later we were out again and have been out every couple of days since and now walking is easy like it used to be, im really lucky to have recovered so well i only have the odd time now and again when getting up off sofa is difficult and its normally when pain releif is needed to be topped up!!

i did about 5 days after as we had a appointment. i just kinda leaned on it also help with any pain i got. but the pain didnt start tiill i got tired
