Hi all,
I am very excited to be expecting baby #3 in January (we have 2 wonderful daughters!) Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat ? And if so, how is everything going?

At my 18 week scan, the doctor found "mild unilateral pyelectasis" of 4.2 mm in baby's right kidney . (Doctor thought perhaps the baby had to pee or just has this mild condition--and wasn't terribly concerned, but ordered an additional scan at 32 weeks).

Also the doctor said my placenta was "low lying" and nearly extending to the OS/cervix but that it could move up closer to delivery.

we want to be surprised with gender but I really think it's a boy this time, due to kidney dilation (apparently a "boy thing"). Of course we will be thrilled either way --would love another girl or boy!

Any insight or advice anyone has is greatly appreciated ! Thank you so much , everyone here is always so supportive and helpful!

I'm not sure about the kidneys- hope everything turns out just fine :hugs: I had a low lying placenta last pregnancy. My dr wasn't worried at all as he said almost all of the time they move up by delivery. Worst case scenario I would have needed a c-section, but at 38 weeks it went right up (and usually it happens sooner). So I wouldn't stress too much about that! Congrats on #3!
