Q: has anyone concieved as late as a cd25+ ovulation?

Hi new mommies!
I am visiting from the TTC section cause I was hoping some of you might be able to help me with my question. Has anyone ever concieved on a cycle with late ovulation (as late of cd 25+?)
My doctor told me that it can happen but that the lining and quality of egg are diminished that late in a cycle...

I got pregnant this cycle on a CD28 ovulation. I actually thought I was having an anovulatory cycle as I usually ovulate between CD18-24.

I was beginning to think this was an annov cycle for me too. Looks like it was just late Ovulation but Im not holding my breath.

I had a pos opk at CD 21 if that helps. Of course those test tell you 36 hrs ahead of when egg is ready.

Thank you. Im 12 weeks now. Im new to this thread/site. Thank you I had to use metformin and clomid to help because i have PCOS. So I dont really O until late.

I didn't get a +OPK until cd25. Had a temp dip the next day, and day after that my temp shot up.
I got my BFP 8dpo

Yes with my 2 yr old my last period was jan 11 I Od on feb 28 and got bfp on march 11th !! So cd 48ish and he is a very healthy smart 2 yr old! I have PCOS so I have crazy cycles

I didn't temp or use OPKs so I'm not sure when I ov'd but I conceived my DS (now 5 months) on a 70 Day cycle. I guess that means I ov'd on CD56?!?! Had a lot of fun with the doctors on that one. Don't know how many times I had to reassure the various technicians and nurses that I wasn't having a May baby. "No really, he's due in July".

wow thanks to all of you for the responses! Congrats to you all!!! I'm now filled with a new found hope due to all of your positive stories! I'm hopeful for a christmas baby...

To those of you with the very late ovulations, thats CRAZY! how many of you thought you werent going to get your BFP since it was so late? That must have been exciting to discover the good news! I feel like a total baby feeling grumpy about my 'late' ovulation.

I have another question. I stopped testing for 3 days on cd 21, 22, and 23 (thought I already OV'd since I got a + on my opk cd16-but nothing on my cbfm so I have progesterone blood drawn and they discovered I did not Ov it was low at 1.3) so then on cd24, I resumed testing and I got a peak on my cbfm! but my temp was also up for the first time... SO confusing.

I then got another peak the next day on cd25 and a positive OPK. today my opk was - and temp was up again... so I may have OV on cd21-25, no idea when. Do you only get a + OPK 24-36 hours before the egg is released? I know it reacts to the LH surge but does that surge go after AFTER the egg is released or after you have Ov'd altogether?
Hopefully that makes some sense. I feel like I should know this by now...

I have 45 day cycles and my bean was conceived on day 31-32 !! Good luck to you x I found OPKs werent great for me- some months I could get 2-3 peaks for a couple of days a month- like my body was gearing up to ov but didnt for whatever reason- for me the most reliable thing is egg white cm. the day it was clearest and I had the most of it- was the day I ovd. If you get ewcm you should try monitoring it thats what worked for me- if it doesnt gross you out good luck !!! x

Thanks seany3, I do try to track it but perhaps I am still not getting it right. the clearest you say? ok, I will try that next ttc cycle, did you bd only around that time? I know they say when it is really stretchy is a good time too. This may be TMI but I feel like I have about 5-7 days of that... which you would think would be a great thing but it doesnt seem to make a diff with me.
I was so hopeful that this cycle would be the one (otherwise its onto injectables- gulp) and I know I shouldnt give up hope yet (its only 4dpo) but I just dont have a good 'feeling' about this cycle. my temp dropped WAY down to follicular phase temp this morning- wtf?!
and its way too early for implantation dip, right? that doesnt happen until 7dpo or something and from what I understand it doesnt even always happen.
maybe AF is early, at least I could move on to the next cycle. I have some more surgery to do if AF comes so I will have another month off which honestly is a relief. isnt that terrible?

With my son it had been months since AF (wasn't trying/charting), so it was way up there. This time I ovulated somewhere around CD 20.

Hi I have cycles that are34 days and got a positive ok on cd21,22,23 but temp peek around cd25 so not sure when I ovulated but got my bfp. I think as long as your lethal phase is 10-14 days lining etc sold be ok x

I usually ovulate at about CD 40-50.. and have gotten pregnant twice now!

I usually have regular 28 day cycles so was so worried when I didn't ovulate around cd 14. Thank goodness I was charting because I actually ovulated cd 21! Got my BFP on Christmas morning Just started TTC.
