Question about CM

Firstly just want to say how helpful the site has been in helping me to understand whats going on for me at the moment-really appreciate the feedback I've had from site members.

Im a little bit confused currently-I'm three days late for AF which is unusual for me-not had any bleeding of any kind whatsoever. Anyway this morning I noticed clear stretchy CM akin to ovulation CM. Is this possible? I had this over 2 weeks now between 17th-21st May and presumed I ovulated (I was also charting) and timed BD appropriately. Any insights people can offer? am I possibly ovulating again? is this another early pregnancy sign?

Thanks for both of your replies! I invested in a Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test today and this came up positive (smiley face) so now I'm puzzled-the signs suggest I am ovulating yet Im three days late for my AF.

Even more puzzling was the appearance of ovulation signs-EWCM, cramping, etc in the week my ovulation calendar predicted. I guess its more BD for me. Though I'm struck by how late I am ovulating this just doesnt seem right.

Many thanks for your replies. I invested in a Clearblue Digital Ovulation Kit today and when I tested this afternoon, I got a positive (smiley face) so now I'm puzzled. I am now not sure whether I am ovulating or pregnant. I have signs of ovulating (I have had cramps, EWCM and now positive ovulation kit) but I also had these signs between the 17th-22nd May.

Who would have thought the female body would be akin to Da Vinci Code?

i may be wrong, but i think some girls on here get positive opk's (i think thats what there called) when they are pregnant. correct me if im wrong im only going off what i think ive read lol x

it could be possible that your body prepared for ovulation but didnt actually have a big enough surge to release the follicle. you can have all the signs of ovulation but not actually ovulate by not having enough hormone to actually release the egg.

this can cause a cycle to become messed up slightly so if your not pregnant (which i would test to just make sure as sometimes this can cause a smiley) then i would say that you missed ovulation last time by preparing for it, giving off the signs but not actually releasing the egg but are actually ovulating now.

also people who follow lunar conception believe by going by the moons phases in a persons cycle actually means they ovulate twice. i looked into it once before i had the twins and it seems quite interesting. xx
