Question about FET

Hello

This is the first time I have posted on this board but hope someone will be able to help me.

I have just had an IVF cycle which had to be stopped after EC as they managed to get 22 eggs which made me at risk of OHSS if I was to get pregnant. We now have 15 frosties to use with FET and I developed no symptoms of OHSS. Initially I was told that I should be able to go ahead with FET on my next cycle as it is planned that we will do this with my natural cycle. The clinic have just phoned and have now said that they recommend that we wait for 3 AFs before starting FET which seems a bit over cautious to me. I could understand if they were using more drugs but as they are not then what is the point of waiting more than a max of maybe 2 AFs?

Has anyone else been told this?

hi hun

my fertility clinic is the same. i had to wait 3 cycle after ICSI before i could have FET as they want your body to get bk to normal after all the drugs you have been taking. x

hi hun

i had to wait 3 cycles after failed icsi aswell,i was gutted as my cycles went to about 45 days after all the meds but i have to admit it took nearly 2 cycles before i felt my body went back to normal mainly feeling constantly bloated.

im in my 2ww now of a medicated FET, the whole process has taken 7/8 weeks which is longer than a fresh cycle hope this helps x
