question about midwife

Hia Girlies!
I was wondering if you guys could answer something for me =D
I finally got a midwife in Ontario (there is a shortage and you pretty much have to call around before you know you are pregnant to get on waiting lists) most people end up with doctors =D
I got a call for a scan.
They don't scan until 18-20 weeks (??)
is that normal?
I had a dating scan early on but am not going to be having a 12 week scan....
just wondering if anyone else has had this happen

It hasnt happend to me But I know alot of places dont offer the 12 week scan so Im sure its normal Aslong as you get to see a midwife threw out your pregnancy thats most important

You dont get a dating scan round my way unless you have know idea when the first day of AF was
