Question about morning after pill. Please advise :(

Hi ladies!
I'm really worried at the moment. Last night dh and I dtd using condoms. We have always used condoms and they have been very reliable. Last night we noticed that when he pulled out there was white liquid around the top/base it seems like some of the semen had leaked out from the top. There were no holes or tears. Now I'm probably ovulating right now too.
Now I'm thinking should I get the morning after pill? I've never taken it before and I've read it has horrible side effects. Have any of you ladies taken it? Please share your MAP experiences. X

I've had it once before with nothing more than just a tiny bit of nausea. It effects all women differently but for me, it was nothing at all.

I'm willing to bet you're probably safe, but better safe than sorry for sure

I have taken it twice. It's basically a heavy-duty dosage of the normal pill. I had no after-effects to speak of xx

Iv taken it twice (although a few yrs ago) and the only side effect was it made my period that month a bit heavier.

I used it once and it made me violently sick all day the next day but I would still say it's worth it if it's not the right time for you possibly being pregnant x

Thank you so much ladies!! Well I have managed to get a prescription from my doc and have taken it exactly 12 hrs since we did the deed! It's been 3 hours and so far no nausea so fingers crossed!! X
So how does the pill work then? Does it just stop the release of an egg from ovaries? What if the egg is already released?

I didn't get any horrible side effects when I took it. And it's pretty good at preventing ovulation, BUT if you have already ovulated it is not very effective unfortunately. Some studies have actually shown that if an egg has already been released it does sod all...
