Question about progesterone

Hi all!
This may be a silly question, but maybe someone can help me with it. I am ttc again (my first) and was wondering, would some kind of progesterone treatment possibly help because they had told me that my progesterone was low along with my hcg dropping (mc). I so want everything to be ready for baby when the time comes in order to prevent another mc. Any help/advice would be great! Thanks =)

Hey sweetie the only thing I could suggest is for u to speak to ur GP hun? I have progesterone pessaries but to be honest they are just a precaution Ive never been diagnosed with low progesterone. My Fertility specialist said it could do me no harm using them it will only strenghthen the egg that's already there & thicken my lining etc. Speak to ur doctor n tell them ur concerns ok. The thing is Irish_rose if your hcg was dropping that means you were already in the process of mcing, your progesterone would have been dropping as a result of that not neccassarily the other way round iykwim. The best thing would be to get your progesterone tested in your luteal phase and see whats going on from there. Im on progesterone pessaries but all it seems to do is to now is cause mmc's because I never had low progesterone, have been tested, its just for precaution because of all the mcs Ive had. Sometimes I think it can just prevent whats suppose to happen if there isnt a problem with it in the first place. Talk to your gp and get some testing and see what they say hun. Good luck!
