hey,
ok so i have been examining my ultrasound (the one at 10w5d)
and at the bottom left of it.
i noticed something, do yall see where it says "11w1d"
is that supppose to mean the baby is measuring at 11w1d???
i remember when the doctor took the ultrasound
he said "we were close on the date" but he never told me
he was moving my due date up or anything,
he just put 10w5d because my LMP.

what do yall think?

awww yeh ! maybe phone and ask them cos ive no idea if they will change ur EDD:hugs:

I would think it does mean that, yes. Not far off your original guess though, is it? :) x

I think normally they stick to your LMP due date unless its more than 5 days out on the scan.

When I went for my scan, going by my dates I was 12w 5d, but LO was measuring 12w 6d and they brought my edd forward. I thought that the dating scan was the most accurate way of telling how far along you are. Personally I'd stick with 11w 1d... And if it's wrong it's not wrong by much :D xx

Some places won't change your EDD unless you are a certain number of days out on the scan measurements. My friend's EDD was 18th August and her 12 week scan gave a date that was 5 days out - they didn't change it and her baby was born on 17th. My EDD from LMP was 29th Feb, it was changed at my scan to 23rd, and Sam was born on 5th March - I wish they'd just left it and I wouldn't have been sitting around overdue for quite so long!

Only 5% are born on their due date anyway, so 3 days won't make much of a difference x

i know its not much off, but it was just something i noticed.
i think i will stick with the 11w1d.
so that makes me 13w2d!

lol i know i updated it, i would have probably forgot otherwise :D

I've had three scans and each time, they've changed my EDD by a day. But as my dr said, only 5% of babies are born on the EDD, so it's really just a guess, as two weeks either side, is quite possible and fine :)

As its a dating scan I would go by the date on the scan. But like the other ladies say only 5% of babies are born on this date so really its only a guideline. Congratulations on the scan Im glad all is well. Take care :hugs: XX

I don't understand why you changed your ticker to 13 wks if you are measuring 11 wks?

Do they work it out differently over there?

Over here (UK) if they said you were 11 weeks you would be 11 wks we wouldn't need to add 2 weeks onto that.

i had the same when i had 12 wk scan they put me at 5 days futher gone, i thought yipppeee thats nearly one week out the way. x

youve moved ticker on to far now, u said you were 10w5d, but scan pic said 11w1d, so you have moved ticker onto 13 wks plus, shouldnt it say 11wks 1 day. x

One is from your LMP and the other is from the measurement of your LO (Keep in mind that is an average)
