Do you label your milk with the time of day it was pumped? I was reading that milk produced after dark has more of the "go to sleep" hormone in it that milk produced in daylight. So if a baby is getting pumped milk at night they will settle better if the milk was pumped at night!! I am constantly amazed by breast milk....

I just finished up pumping after doing it exclusively for my son for 11 months. I had heard this about breast milk and tried keeping it all separate and labeled at first. This lasted for about a week before it just got too tedious. In all of the other tasks of caring for a newborn in addition to all the pumping, something had to give! I would just pool all of my milk into a large bottle over the course of a day (I usually produced more than he ate), and then divide it into feeding bottles or freezer bags.
