Question for those who have done IUI

For all of you girls who have done IUI before...After much reading on this forum and others, it seems like most everyone who has done IUI is given the trigger shot. My clinic does bloods and waits for a natural surge (if no surge by cd16, will give trigger) and I'm just wondering if I should ask for trigger for my 2nd cycle?

I conceived with just plain IUI. No clomid/etc. I tested with ovulation sticks and inseminated the day after I got my surge. I'm pregnant with twins. xoxo

I concieved using IUI without stimulation or a trigger shot on my 3rd go, I now have a 6 month baby boy lying on the floor next to me playing. Good luck.

i did and IUI with clomid and the trigger I over stimulated. I had 9 eggs on both sides and they all were from 32-52cm. It was so painful. If I knew I could do the IUIs without the meds I would have done it.

Thanks everyone! I think I'll stick to my natural surge then...just want to give myself the best chance.
