Just wondering how your pregnancies differed? And if you think this was affected by the babys gender? Or did you have 2 boys/2girls and have very different pregnancies despite the gender being the same?
I'm 16 weeks with number 2, and this pregnancy has been different to when I was carrying dd. I have had horrendous daily sickness which is still going on, first time around I was probably sick 2 or 3 times in total. Last time I had a really sweet tooth, this time I can't get enough of cheese and onion sandwiches.

We are going to try and stay team yellow but I can't help wondering if this one is going to be a boy.
Xxxx

With both my daughters the pregnancies were completely different. So much so, I thought dd2 must have been a boy!

I was very sick with my first and went off loads of my favourite foods. I hardly had any sickness with my second and ate everything! I also gained a LOT more weight with my second. Lol. They're both girls :)

My son's pregnancy was very similar to my 2nd daughter's, and this one has been somewhere in between.. Not terribly sick but worse than last time. I crave savoury things every time I'm pregnant.

I don't know if it's another boy or another girl this time and I'm not going to find out, but I don't believe symptoms can give any indication of baby's gender.

Best of luck :)

I had a girl, then a boy, and thought that I was having another girl because of how similar my pregnancies were.

I'm pregnant with boy #3 and each pregnancy has been different. I thought this time it would be a girl cause I had 24/7 nausea and didn't have that much with the other two and I gained less weight initially too. Had terrible dry, tangly hair and bad skin/acne. Was so sure it must mean girl....but nope, another boy! Most of the old wives tales, even the chinese gender chart said girl too.

Both of my pregnancies have been pretty much the same. I was convinced I was having another boy so was shocked when they said girl! x

All three pregnancies have been quite similar except I felt less sick with ds2, and haven't been sick with my current one. Staying team yellow but my mommy instinct is telling me I will have three boys.

From what I have read, heard from others and suspect, is that every pregnancy can be quite different or very much the same, and it has no bearing on what it means in terms of gender.

I think this is probably the least helpful post I've ever written! Lol Hope you feel great for the rest of your pregnancy and you get what you want :)

I had 2 very easy pregnancies with two boys but they were different in their own ways - lots of sickness with ds1 compared to just constant nausea with ds2, lots of bleeding with ds2, carried completely differently both times. I thought ds2 would have been a girl but no I've got two gorgeous boys

Thanks for all the responses! It seems gender doesn't have a huge impact on the pregnancy 'experience' then. I really don't mind either way what we have. I'd be happy with 2 girls or one of each :) just curious really.
We found out gender with dd1, and I really want a surprise this time. Can't wait for that moment where they say 'what have you got then?' So exciting! :happydance:

So far my pregnancies have been very similar - one girl and one boy!

Well both mine have been different. I had awful morning sickness with my daughter, this time round had barely anything maybe a bit of nausea and went off some foods. This time I have been much more tired and have got really spotty and I'm pregnant with a boy. Was the same for my mum too, she had bad sickness with me and none with my brother.

Ok so I am pregnant with my 3rd girl.

My first pregnancy was a freakin cake walk. Nothing bothered me until delivery.

Second pregnancy, similar really easy in the beginning but the last month or two was horrifying. Massive heartburn which made me puke nightly I ended up busting all of the blood vessels in my face... I looked scary. Lol..

This pregnancy... Uhg... Just horrible from the beginning. Morning sickness and smell sensitivity from the moment I had a Positive. OH didn't believe me when I would say I was sick daily and puking.. because it never happened for the other pregnancies. I have days where I can barely walk due to pelvic bone pain, I went to the ER for RIDICULOUS Gas pains I thought my appendix burst or something... Random contractions, and the horrific heartburn has already started.... This one is a girl just like the others.

Even her heart rate is different from my first two. Both were always at 130... Hers is always in the 150's.

Pretty certain this one is a girl no doubt about it because she wasn't hiding anything on the ultrasound like her sisters did. Lol.

It seems that for me, with each pregnancy first tri is harder and harder and the nausea lasts just a little longer than the previous pregnancy. I have two girls and this baby, I've been told is a boy. The only real difference is that I've had really bad an long lasting insomnia this pregnancy.

I had a girl first time and am having a boy this time...

Similarities
-Relatively easy pregnancies
-Craved fruits for both

Differences
-More morning sickness with 1st preg, less morning sickness with 2nd preg but it went on for longer...
-Had PMS cramps on and off with 2nd preg
-Had spotting with 2nd preg
-Craved fruit and sweet things with 1st preg (DD) Craving fruits, hot foods, fish and meat with DS
-Showed a little later with 2nd preg, was in maternity wear later too
-Felt kicks later with 2nd preg (anterior placenta)

Old wives and chinese calendar said boy for dd amd girl for this one, ds- my hormone levels have been way higher this time around. However i seem to have carried dd amd ds very low and in my back with both, also massive heartburn with both. Xx

My pregnancies were so different too!! Both were boys :)

I have2 girls and had fairly similar pregnancies, craved cherry tomatos, carrot sticks and sweets, and had no sickness just slight nausea early on.
I was low in iron both times and had to take tablets for quite early on.

This time I had really bad sickness up to around 14 weeks, I crave cheese and pate, not fussed at all about sweets of sweet things, my iron levels have been great, still at 20 weeks no need for tablets. I hopefully find out what im having on Zmobday at my scan but as different as this pregnsncy is I still feel that I'm having a girl. I don't know if it's because I secretly hope its a girl but I don't feel as though I'm carry a boy.

Only time will tell! Lol

X

My pregnancies have been so different. I had no symptoms with my daughter and didn't even know I was pregnant until 22 weeks. I had a lot of bleeding which I thought were periods, no sickness and no cravings until late second trimester. I also developed high blood pressure with my first pregnancy which I still had until I got pregnant this time. With this baby (boy), I was nauseous a lot at first (and still am sometimes), had food aversions, no bleeding at all and my blood pressure is perfectly normal. When I did have cravings with my daughter, it was peaches and ice cream. This time, it's mostly salty stuff (chips, fast food) and sometimes banana splits.

I have 2 girls 2 completely different pregnancies. This pregnancy is different again so god knows what im cooking lol

I like this question. I'm pregnant with my fifth baby and it's a boy. I have three daughters and one son already. I've given this a lot of thought too. It definately seems like every pregnancy was very different despite gender (eg. I had a lot of pelvic pain with my 3rd (boy) and 4th (girl) but not with my first two or this one) But one thing that's definately different between boy and girl pregnancies is my hormones. I don't think I've cried much during this pregnancy and I remember being very level headed with my other son too. With my girls it was an emotional rollercoaster most of the time ( I thought my husband didn't love me any more and other stupid irrational thoughts). I still get emotional now and then but not "over the top" if that makes sense.
