Question for vitex users

I started taking vitex this month an am now on day 2 of my cycle and am having horrible (to the point of wanting to throw up) cramps and back pain, I usually don't have cramps or anything else. Has vitex made anyone's period miserable?

I started vitex about three months ago. It helped regulate them but my cramps have been brutal - more so 'around' ovulation. I'm using 'around' loosely as it's almost a week or more of mild cramping around that time. I started taking vitex at night with the start of my last cycle; I'm CD 10 now and feeling pretty good. So not sure if the change of time has helped or if I just stuck it out? I'm also using the tincture which I've heard is more potent. Sorry, not much help!
