Hi,

My son is 7 months old and I was wondering if I can give him porridge made with whole milk and weetabix with whole milk or do I have to make it with his formula?

Also, can he have Petit Filous rather than specific yogurts from the baby aisle?

Thanks
Bx

He can have a bit of whole milk with things like that, it's fine to use it in cooking too it just can't replace their formula and going overboard with the amount of milk can be bad for their tummies so obviously just not for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I wouldn't touch Petit Filous with a barge pole though - completely full of sugar.

Hi, thank you. Do you have any recommendations other than petit filous?

I just get tubs of normal greek yogurt and put fruit in with it x

Plain Greek yoghurt mixed with organic fruit purée makes fruit yoghurt far more delicious than petit filous!

Yes, like others have said, natural full fat yogurt or greek yogurt with added fruit puree is great. There are also some baby yogurts and fromage frais that are made without sugar, just fruit, that are great (but read the ingredients because some of them have a lot of added fillers and junk!). But it's certainly cheaper to make your own if you don't need it on the go. I usually keep some fruit fromage frais pots in the fridge in case I need to take one somewhere, but if I'm home, I just make my own. The pureed fruit pouches last 48 hours after being opened, so that makes me 3 breakfasts worth of yogurt (about 1/3 of a pouch per bowl of natural yogurt).

It's cheaper and just as easy really to puree your own fruit if that's something you'd like to do. If you make more than needed put it in the freezer in ice cube trays. (or don't use puree at all and try little bits of fruit)
