You will need to get checked with a Specialist (or Gyno) to be prescribed Clomid. They will put you on Clomid if you don't show signs of Ovulation, but they often do checks first, to see if clomid will be helpful. for instance if you have blocked tubes, clomid is not going to help, because the egg can't reach the Sperm.
It's often used in cases of unexplained Infertility too. But definitely see someone first...or your friend should
I had to see my gyno first. She did a bunch of tests. I had to have gall bladder removal first (being preg would've made my gall bladder worse), have an HSG to see if my tubes were blocked, DH had to have a count done, I had ALL SORTS of blood tests...FINALLY after almost a year I got clomid!
my friend got pregnant but had a miscarriage at 6 wks. She doesnt have periods and im not sure whay but she must have ovulated to get pregnant. I think it was a shock to her
