Hello mummies <3

I feel like my baby girl does not move that much, not for her, but in comparison to other babies. I do not feel like her movement has 'decreased' really.. but she seems very chilled out!
I get movement maybe every 2-3 hours and occassionally it's a long moving session like when I am lying in bed, can be up to an hour, but most often it's only a few movements or for 5-10 minutes.
I'm not sure if I just can't feel all of her movements... but I feel like this is odd at 30 weeks, especially seen as I can feel them so strongly sometimes and I have a posterior placenta.

Does anyone else have a quiet baby or has had in the past?
I don't have many pregnant friends to ask and the ones that I do have they get near constant kicking and movement and it makes me worry :(

Thanks for reading if you've got this far XX

My daughter was a very calm baby in the womb. She rarely kicked, maybe just a couple of times a day and the odd set of hiccups here and there. I think she was just a bit lazy :)

She definitely made up for it when she was born though, there was never a dull moment in that first year with her :haha:

That is very reassuring Sarah, thank you.. I keep telling myself that it's just who she is but it's so hard not to worry! Her hiccups are reassuring hehe.

My little one seems to be kind of quiet in there too. I would say her movement is similar to what you are feeling. And I don't have an anterior placenta or anything. I find poking at her gets her going a little more. And meals too. But she isn't constantly moving like I have heard others are.

My daughter was very lazy in there! I could feel her stretching and a few kicks here & there, but not too much else. Everyone said they couldn't sleep, it hurt, etc...not Riley! Now she's here, and she's still extremely calm. :)

My sis had this and she had to go to hospital a couple of times as she was so worried. Turns out she's got an amazingly calm baby that is an amazing sleeper! Mine on the other hand rarely stopped moving and still hasn't grasped the concept of sleep!

My baby is very quiet. I defiantly don't have constant movement; I go hours without feeling anything and I have never been woken up or even kept awake from movement. I do feel like I have missed out a bit on the experience but guess I should be grateful that I am pretty comfortable!

Eee so nice to hear from mums with babies like mine! Thank yoou :hugs:

Tuppance, good to hear about your sissies calm baby :) And yours too Shakelt! Very cutie picture.

Chicken; I was worried about never having been woken up at night from her too, so good to hear. What I have experienced though is her kicking in my dreams and I'm sure she must be kicking at the same time in reality to make me dream it like that hehe

In comparison to DD, this boy is much quieter! I had one movement freakout with DD at around 27 weeks, I've been in 3 times for monitoring with this guy! I am never woken by him at night, only once have I felt him going crazy when I've woken up for the toilet - otherwise I'll fall back asleep without feeling him. Anterior placenta here too in case that makes a difference :)
