raising moses basket?

My eight day old is full if cold and really congested so is struggling to lie flat in her Moses basket. I have raised the head end with a blanket underneath the mattress, is this ok? And,also how high should it be?

I have had all of mine propped up at the top end due to reflux, just by a few inches.

I would personally raise it by putting books ir something under the stand rather than blankets under the mattress x

Thankyou both, my Moses basket is in the cot as we haven't got a stand, ive rolled a towel and put underneath the matress but I'm just not sure if I've put it too high?

I think as long as her chin is not touching her chest it might be fine maybe someone else knows?.

I personally would prop the actual cot up. We did this and DD2 was in her moses basket in the cot was fine.

I used jigsaw boxes to prop it up x

We had the Moses basket in the cot as well when Holly was a baby and put books under one end of it to raise it.

Thankyou all 😃 we have raised her and she seems to be sleeping a little better, she has so many symptoms of reflux though, am keeping my eye on it!
