Why cant women be older in the relationship.
Im 2 years older than my husband im 26 and he is 24 and people act as though ive taken his inocense away.
If he was 40 and i was going out with him hardly anyone would be botherd.
It isnt even like im an old woman, 26 wasnt old last time i checked, and he os 10 x more mature than many men i know my age.

People get worse

This has all come about because of an old friend of my mums making comments.
She is devorced 4 times!

how bizarre! my boyfriend is 5 years older than me and i always joke that i was starting secondary school as he was starting college.. however, i think people expect the age gap that way around so it's never been commented on. 2 years is hardly an age gap though! silly people, ignore them xx

I actually said something very similar to that to her. She made me feel ancient, like im an 80 year old stealing a young boys heart! And in know age actually doesnt change anything unless its a hudge gap like my parents, you could see in their relationship they think slightly differently because of how times change. But it still isnt really apparent.

Age is just a number, its the expereinces youve had in life that make you a mature person or not..

Some guys might have been living at home all their life having their mother to look after them, just cos their 40 doesn't mean their mature! other guys might be 25, with a mortgage, couple of kids and have been working and earning since 16 soo....

mmm, it really bugs me when people judge you by age!

Thanks and yh thats just it. He has a good job and has always worked hard, so have i. If you click with someone so perfectly i dont see the problem, even if you are 9 years older. A sould mate isnt based on age its your personality that ultimately decides if youre right for one another. Obviously there has to be some physical attraction there but personality in my experience is always the prodominant factor.

Lol 8 months is nothing at all, you were both babies at the same time, but i was only a toddler when my DH was a baba, so if you look at it that way it really isnt anything at all. Im 2 years and 2 months older than mine and because of that im a witch lol.
It makes you wonder how they get through life, i still cant believe how shocked she was.

Ah dont worry, im 4 years older then my dh. In fact he's only 14 years older than my 14 year old dd and he's the best dad in the world to her. Age means nothing hun, its how mature a person is that counts.

i am almost exactly 2 yrs older than my oh too. he is 28 and i will be 30 on the 17th! he is the first guy i have gotten with that is younger but i spent a good 7 yrs with my exhusband so yeah. it would be different if we were 18 and they were 16 or something. but really???? i joke about him being younger and he ALWAYS brushes it off and doesn't even let me make jokes about it because it is silly he says. we are definitely on the same page emotionally and maturity wise.

Heehee.. I'm 14 years older than my hubby.. we've been married for 7 years now and honestly, age is ONLY a number.. you are only as old as you feel .. (the best is when people think I'm HIS age or younger... not sure what that says about him, but it does make ME feel good.. )

In the big scheme of things, who gives a rats ass... no one can live your life for you and if you are happy, (and it doesn't hurt anyone) I say do it.. Life is too short....every day should be enjoyed at it's fullest!
