rasberry tea

Yeah I dont think it actually brings on labour just helps in the later stages of it I think.Im going to buy some when im 32 weeks.xxx

It was talked about at my hospital's "Birth Preparation" workshop last weekend (the weekend long workshops are run by two of the hospital's senior MWs)...

... they advised NOT to start taking it until 36 weeks. Just because the effects haven't been proven either way and because (regardless of it bringing on labour or just "toning your uterus" or just doing nothing) it may act as a "uterine stimulant". This is despite Holland & Barratt (and many other sources) saying it is fine to take it before then...

I had already been taking it for a week or two, but have now stopped until 36 weeks

My hospital will not take women in premature labour (before 36 weeks), so I desperately don't want any risk of going into labour before then...

QT

I started taking this last week and even though I cant drink tea, I am finding that this goes down ok! Started on 2 cups a day and gone upto 3 a day this week.

anyone know if its safe to take raspberry tea if theyve got gestational diabetes???
