All the comments I heard about weight and breastfeeding before and during my pregnancy seemed to concur: "it's great, the weight just drops off you".

Hah, what they omitted to mention? - the all-consuming hunger/greed!!!

During the first month or two I was eating biscuits like I'd heard they were running out, and they were the quickest thing to hand while I struggled to get to grips with the early days. Now, things are more settled and I can make myself healthier stuff, but I'm still soooo hungry and healthy often just doesn't cut it!

I'm overweight, apart from the pregnancy I weigh more than I ever have, I hate it, my clothes don't fit, but very hard to muster the willpower to pass over things like chocolate and cake.

Sorry, bit of a rant, but does anyone else feel like this? I know I need to toughen up, get mean on myself and get a bit of exercise too, but knowing I'm not alone / a bit of solidarity would help motivate me I'm sure.
 
Plus, today I had 3 weetabix for breakfast, toast at 11, big plate of couscous and stir fried veggies for lunch, followed shortly afterwards by fruit salad and plain yoghurt. My tummy is now shouting at me that there's a need for more toast, or chocolate or something stodgy and sustaining! Grrrr
 
Your body is craving carbs for energy. It looks like you need a lot more protein to your diet if you can you should feel fuller for longer.
 
Yep! I've reigned myself in a bit now and I am starting to lose weight thankfully! I actually put on a couple I'd pounds in the first month pp!
 
I'm really hungry too :( If anyone has any tips for snacks that aren't going to make me more of a fatty please share!
 
Im constantly starving!! I snack on grapes, plums, toast, biscuits, crisps, yogurts. Hubby is back at work tuesday i have no idea how im gonna cope without him waiting on me.....
