I'm 22 wks now but 3 weeks ago I had my big scan. We found out we are having a little boy! This is my first and the pictures I got were so awesome! I thought I would share.

Awwweee! So cute! I can't wait for my scan. 3 more weeks! Congrats on the little boy.

So cute! We went for our 20 week scan and the place tells us AFTER we start that they can't print any pictures. My heart sank! This is my first baby and it should be our last scan (my midwifes don't typically do any scans beyond 20 weeks). I am devastated!

Thanks everyone! We are so excited to finally have our first baby. After 2 years of ttc and a loss last year, it's hard to believe things will work out. I try not to over analyze everything but it's so hard! Today he hasn't been very active but I'm trying to not stress about it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your ultrasound! I would be so upset! Luckily I got 7 pictures but if I didn't get any, I would be insisting on getting another one! Can you ask for another to get some pictures? Also, I get another ultrasound at 37 wks.

aww, so sweet. It's the best to see them take shape as a tiny human, isn't it :) I've felt so much more bonded to our son now after seeing him and finding out he's a boy. We were able to get a 3d ultrasound last week at 18 weeks. Just one image turned out decent (can see his face and hands folded up). I was thrilled to get anything.

Will you be getting another 3d/4d later?

*edited to fix picture orientation.

Awe so sweet! That's a great picture! Aren't the 3d ones amazing! It's crazy how much I love this little boy already. I've been going a little crazy buying baby clothes. I Will get another one at 37 wks. I'm not sure if it will be 3d though.

After i saw these pics i kinda got worried because it kinda looks like his cord is wrapped around his neck. I asked the doctor and she said the baby moves so much right now that the cord is all over the place. It actually looks like it's drapped over his shoulders. Hopefully he untangled himself!

You may be able to find somewhere that does 3d/4d if it isn't already going to be that. It depends on where you live though I'm sure. Where I am, I think I have to pay 100 for half hour ultrasound session in 4d.

It's actually VERY common for baby's to have their cords around their neck. In fact, 1 in 3 baby's are born with a nuchal cord wrapped around their neck. Fortunately, the vast majority of the time it causes NO problems at all during the pregnancy or birth. Exceptions occur, but they are the rarity. Nature designed the cords in such a way that they seldom become problematic. Unfortunately, tv likes to play on this scenario as some emergent near death event, because suspense is what gets the views.
