Sorry to ask this, as it's a really dippy question, but as I've never done it before, I don't know!
How do I puree pear?
I'm assuming I just boil it, then mash it up? Or do I cut it up first? I need it to go in a recipe and I've never done purees before!!!:dohh:

2 Ripe pears peeled and cored
2 to 3 tbsp water or pure unsweetened applejuice

Chop the pear into small even sized pieces
put the fruit into a heavy-based sauce pan with the water, cover and cook on a low heat until tender (approx 4mins)
blend the fruit into a smooth puree

can also be done in microwave according to this recipie book :D

i just peel, core, chop up into chunks and put in a pan just covered in water and keep an eye on it to make sure it dont boil dry. then just mash with either a fork or a masher!

ya, peel and core it, then cut it up so they cook through quick and you wont lose the nutrients...

Or if your pear is soft enough, you can just peel and use the blender... I get softer ones so I dont have to boil them and Jasmine can just have them as finger foods.

i just peel, core, dice and boil. then mash. At first i strained it too so it wasn;t as lumpy.
