what are reasons for a baby (7 month old) waking up during the night. Hes waking up soooo much, its exhausting!!!! i was up every 30 minutes last night. some of the times to put dummy back in and others he was just wide awake and when i pick him up he falls straight asleep back on my shoulder (i try not to pick him up too much though).
could too much sleep during the day be causing this? he has 3 naps. (wakes for the day at 6am ish)
1= 7-8am -1 hour
2= 10am-12pm - 2hours
3= 2pm-3pm -1 hour
he really struggles to stay up more than 2 hours. he was up to 2.5 but is now back to 2 hours. im beginning to wonder if hes so tired during the day (constantly rubbing his eyes, apart from maybe the first 30 mins when he wakes up) cuz hes not sleeping at night but hes not sleeping at night cuz he naps so much during the day cuz hes tired? all a vicious cycle? what do u think?
im considering moving him to this:
1= 8am-9am - 1 hour
2= 12pm-2pm- 2 hours
and then a cap nap if he needs one later? i dont know!!
what do u ladies think? or should i just leave him and let him change it when he wants? he doesnt fight his naps.
ETA: he has also just dropped his night feed (which he didnt have from 4-5 months but started again but thats him now dropped it).
