Receptionist who took the hoax phone call for Kate found dead!!

People will critise no matter what though. If they publise it, then it would be oh they are just doing it for the media attention etc. If they did do, IMO it is better to not publise it because the family know it is a genuine act and they are the most important ones.

I agree, they are dammed if they do dammed if they don't

Yep, and I am just replying with mine

I agree too, theres always going to be someone there to bash them whatever they choose to do.

Whether she sent flowers or not I fail to see how she is in the wrong. I'm no Royalist but I do feel for her, shes had her pregnancy not only splashed across the tabloids but now its always going to be linked to this tragic event, to top it off people are now starting to say that basically she should shoulder some of the blame.

I think a statement is enough, the only people responsible here are the idiots at that station, those who made the call, those who thought up the idea, that station that aired it and the lawyer who cleared it to air.
Her suicide note claims that the hospital were NOT supportive.
None of this is the fault of Wills and Kate.
I don't understand how impersonating another person and obtaining confidential information is NOT a crime.
It sickens me. The entire mess.

I didnt know that about the suicide note saying they were not supportive, that doesnt surprise me tbh.

There you go Tasha.

I understand it has to do with a royal family, but pranks are costantly happening. No info should be allowed over the phone but as we all know when someone is famous someone somewhere would have leaked it anyway.

Now I do not think the radio station should be charged and I do not think this is worth taking your own life for. I think if she had not killed herself the most that should have happened to her was some time off work, not fired. Radio station had no clue this would happen. This can happen with any joke gone bad and its not the 1st one. This is why people should think twice before they decide to play a prank.

I watched a video a girl was trying to freak her friend out, She hid with the camera as she had a dude with a mask hiding in the kitchen. When the friend turned around and saw the dude, she ran her ass as fast as she could, because she had no clue it was a prank. The girl ran after her still recording and the friend didn't look before darting across the road and she got hit by a fast moving car and was killed on the spot. This was a prank gone wrong, no one meant for anything bad to come from it but it did!

It's not the first time the radio station has been in hot water though, according to a report I read, they are mean't to get permission which they didn't.

I've seen the video you're talking about and read that it was staged x

I have seen it too and apparently it isn't real :flower:

That video is all over Facebook, seriously think it would have been taken down if it was real :flower:

Yeah I don't think that video is real, I'm sure it wouldn't of been online, there's anther video on YouTube where these boys are playing a prank on their friend, the boy who was being pranked brought out a gun and shot his friend who was dressed up as an animal I think that's how it went.

I haven't read this whole thread so sorry if it's a very sympathetic one and I'm going to upset anyone :(

I just don't get this.

* she wasn't the one who actually gave the information
* she was not in any trouble at work and under no disciplinary
* she had worked there for many many years so her character was well known and under no threat.
* even if she was the one that gave the information and she was fired, a sane woman with children does not suddenly decide to take her own life and leave her children behind. A sane woman does whatever it takes to stay with your children and watch them grow up. Something just doesn't sit right with me over this. I mean, would YOU have done the same in those circumstances?!

As for the djs:

* they are being demonised
* they have bosses whose job it is to get permissions before anything like this goes on air (it wasn't live) and the buck stops with them, not the djs.

The hospital was def not supportive at all, someone in my family has a client who is a consultant at that hospital and when he asked him about the whole scandal (before the suicide) his response was 'heads will roll'. I think it is so awful that the hospital are denying that she was in trouble because it could give some small piece of closure to her poor grieving family.

I also don't think it is very sensitive to use the word 'sane' or 'insane' when talking about suicide. Plus none of us no what humiliation feels like on such a huge scale, people respond to stressful situations differently and this woman was living in London all on her own with no one to talk to or rationalise with her.

I have to comment on the sane woman part. Perhaps she did have underlying mental difficulties and this just pushed her completely over the edge? We'll never know all the facts.
