I went to the Witchery in Edinburgh after our wedding, and our first anniversary. We stayed in the same room as Michael Douglas when he proposed to Catherine-Zeta Jones.

Number 10 in edinburgh. 5* and just so beautiful they upgraded us to there top suite and omg it was spectacular in every way. and the city it just perfect for honeymooners , shopping,history, amazing resturants and drinks.

i loved it and will be going back for our 5th aniversary.

I stayed there in June and agree! The pool is amazing and recommend the Boat House for eating in the evening - beautiful! Lovely buffet breakfast too. Even got to Segway around the Loch, the most fun I've had since I was a kid!

Gleneagles is another I've had the pleasure to stay in. The Spa is out of this world but maybe it's a bit of trek?

Argh the boat house if fab, we went one January (pre child lol) and spend a wonderful rainy afternoon relaxing in the boat house with the open fire, it was sooooo fab!
