LO has now moved into his own room  and I just can't bear the thought of not being able to see him in the night!

Can you recommend a video monitor? What about rigging up a wireless webcam...but hubby says then his image will be broadcast across the internet...??

Don't have a video one, by love my Tommee Tippee monitor! They do do a video one. Its really easy to use and has a temp gauge on it for Erins room. Maybe worth a look?

My neighbour uses the Lindam Clarity - I don't know if they still do them as her boy is nearly 6 years old, but I have borrowed it a few times and it is great xx

I have one made by 'summer' it's good vision in pitch black. It zooms in and out and you can pan the camera around using the hand held monitor. Picks up sound well too xx

Ive got the Lindam Clarity, LO is 7weeks and its fab. We have a wireless router in our bedroom so the reception gets interferred with occaisionally but the picture just goes off for about a second and then comes straight back on. It plays lullabies too which i thought was a gimick but if LO starts to grumble I put them on and he often nods back off to sleep which he wont do on his own normally.

I have a lindam clarity too. Been using it for about 3 months now and it's so easy. As was said above the lullabies that you can play remotely are amazing to get LO back to sleep without needing to disturb them more by going into their room.

Highly recommend it as it is great value for money!

I have the summer baby monitor - you can have 3 cameras for one monitor and it scans each camera for 8 seconds at a time - great for me as I have 3 kids so I can watch them all on the same screen.

We bought this Motorola one, the picture and sound quality is great. It also plays lullabies and has night vision xx

That's the one we have. It's great and has a temperature thinghy on it too.

We initially had a summer day/night one but it was terrible for interference. Make sure you get a digital one to avoid that problem.

I posted a smilar thread a coople of weeks back and got quite a few suggestions, I'm still trying to decide which one I like best, here's the link for you to have a look...

I have this one, have never used the handheld part but I LOVE the video on it. Only gripe I have with it is when it storms it gets staticy intereference, but other than that I am happy with it.

Yep, we had a similar one. Went nuts when you put the microwave on too! Or had it next to the wireless router, or if next door had their playstation on! We couldn't have the volume up on it at all. That's why we ended up getting a digital one.

It is a great monitor though, if you can live with the interference. The screen size is the best on the market, for the price I think and the sound quality is good too.

Was also going to add, you can set up a webcam so it isn't broadcast over the internet.

We have this one too. It's currently reduced to £90 on amazon! X

Really? Maybe it's cos I wanted to view the image on my iPhone...dunno if that makes any difference.

Depends. If you only want to view it over the Iphone in your house and assuming you have a wireless network, you can set it up so it can only be seen by you in your house.
