Refusing bottles

Ffion has porridge for breakfast and some veg/fruit for lunch and 4 bottles a day.

The last few days she's been crying and struggling with her milk feeds. The first bottle of the day she doesn't struggle but wont take more than 4oz. All her other bottles she cries, she seems like she wants it but somehow can't? I've changed to faster flow teats (I'm using avent bottles btw) but that really doesn't seem to make a difference.

The only way i've managed to get her to take her bottles is to put her either in the swing or bouncer and rock it a little.

I'm really worried about her, she only had 11oz yesterday

Is she teething at all hun? Sucking on the teats can often aggrivate and hurt the gums more.

Yup, sounds like teething or a stuffed up nose.

Yeah she's been teething since she was 8 weeks. I hope its only that i get so panicky so easy with her lol

Sounds a bit like silent relfux to me, thats how Alex started. She wanted the bottles but just cried and couldnt!

Our Lo went off his bottles last week when he was teething & came down with a nasty cold at the same time. I started giving Neurofen suppostories and it seemed to take the egde off the pain & he was able to have more milk. He's still sick with the cold, but has two brand new teeth

Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer. I was stressing so much when i started this thread!

I think it was definitely her teeth because she has a few days feeding fine then she starts crying again but as soon as i put the side of my finger in her mouth she starts chewing and calms down.

When Violet stops taking her bottles because of teething, I have to give her a cooled teether for roughly 10mins and once she's had that, she'll finish her bottle x
