Hi to all

Im not sure if this is the right place to post and im so sorry if i offend anyone, its not my intention to do so

As some of you may know, i lost my little girl last year, i was 5 months 1 week and 1 day pregnant.
It was the hardest thing i have ever faced or ever will face in my life, me and my partner didnt think we would ever get through such an awful time. Nearly one year on now and even though we will never forget our beautiful angel, we are a lot stronger than we thought we would be and just taking each day as it comes. We still have bad days when we just sit and cry, but together we will cope and our baby is always with us as shes never far from our thoughts.

My problem is, after the delivery i had the 'normal' bleed which lasted about 2/3 weeks and was rather light, then my periods started the following month and were regular for the next 6 months however, for the past (nearly) 6 months i have had nothing that i could call a period, i get the usual cramps and headache etc...(tmi bit) but when i wipe there is just brownish red smudges on the tissue, it lasts for the same amount of days as my period use to but its so light. I know sometimes after a delivery your periods can get lighter but this is a joke.

Has anyone experienced this or anything like it and is it something i should worry about?

Thanks in advance and  to everyone, im only an email away if anyone want to talk

Take care

So sorry for your loss, dont really hav any info on ur subject, but didnt want to read and run

I don't know what to say hun, I am sorry for your loss but I have no idea why your periods would be so light for 6 months. I would think you need to speak to your gp, they should be able to help hun, :hugs:

Nope babe, I don't think it's "normal" so best go and get checked out at the Dr's...could you be pregnant again or is it insensitive of me to ask?

sorry for the long post but thought I'd share my experience of improving my cycle....

I know it's not quite the same but after coming off depo injections (7 years) last summer all my periods were like this and accompanied by an almost constant pains around my right ovary, my doctor wasn't particularly worried by it as all my blood test were normal!

I'd say definately ask your doctor to run some blood tests to check all your hormone levels and they might also check for infections just to be safe.

If, like me everything is normal and the doctors don't think there is much they can do (I got told to wait and see every time i went back) then consider homeopathy or herbal remedies to try and get your hormones back in balance.

I found Vitex Agnus Castus (aka Chasteberry) really helped to start more normal periods within a few months. I also started seeing a homeopathic practitioner who gave me folliculin, within a month my periods were back in normal cycles and the following month I got pregnant.

Had a natural mc at 6 weeks but I'm hopeful that homeopathy and a healthy diet will be more successful next time!

I know there is conflicting evidence about herbs/ homeopathy but i found that if nothing else it got rid of my feelings of helplesness and frutration caused by the medical profession!

Big hugs and good luck.

Im away to buy that today as I am having long long long cycles after my m/c in April. Thanks for that!
