I have to repay my occupational maternity pay. I've been told I have to pay back the full gross amount and then I would get an income tax and NI refund. The payroll department says this will be about 30% of what I repay. Does this sound right?
There seems to be virtually no information about this on the internet, so I'd appreciate hearing from anyone else who has repaid their mat pay - does 30% sound about right? How long did it take for your refund to come through?
