I have just had my 2nd m/c in a row (the first was in February). I'm being referred to an gyno who deals with fertility. I'm first of all heartbroken over my loss but now super panicky about going to a doctor about this. I suffer from anxiety and have not been taking my anxeity medication while TTC. I'm terrified as to what tests to expect and the physical discomfort of them. My appointment is scheduled for Nov. 22.

Has anyone gone through tests for repeat m/c? My m/c's are very early under 5-6 weeks. What tests will they send me for? Are there less invasive ones I can ask for? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I get panicky even when I have to go for blood work. I'm so overwhelmed.

I have had 2 miscarriages over the last year and my doc sent me for some basic bloodwork to check for blood clotting and immune issues. She doesn't think we need anything invasive quite yet but only time will tell....if I am lucky enough to get pregnant again, that will be the real decision making moment.

I understand your anxiety. I have dealt with that a lot in the past and the mcs haven't helped.

I hope that your doc can find some answers for you. Soooo sorry about your losses.

Hi hun, I just wanted to say hello as I am in the same situation as you. I have had 2 miscarriages at 9 weeks and 5-6 weeks and have been referred to a gyno as well. My appointment is end of November. I have already had the bloodwork done by my GP to save time in the future - but I don't have the results yet. Try not go get anxious, the bloodwork will be the first step. Good luck xx

Thanks ladies and sorry for your losses, zippy my appointment is scheduled for Nov 22.

Hi, I am also in the same situation! I'm sorry for your losses.
I suffer from anxiety and like to know whats going on in detail before i do something so i can prepare!
I'll try describe in detail!
Ive had 4 mc and i had my first appointment with my gyno at the hospital not long ago, i was really anxious to go so i took my OH.
I just went into a little room and she explained a bit about m/c and said she was just going to take bloods for now to test for clotting diseases and other things (chromosones i thnk she said), she asked me a little about what happened with each m/c and if i knew of any family history of clotting diseases.
I was glad i took my OH aswel because he needed the bloodtests also which made me feel tons better that i wasnt going through it alone! :)

She made me an appoint for 8ish weeks time for my results and then shes just gunna take it from there. I needn't have worried because they were really lovely, i hope yours goes well and they put you at ease, good luck xx

I've had 2, though they didn't send me to a specialist or anything after #2. Maybe because #2 was very early (~4w) (#1 was 7+4 and a D&C).
