Hello, all of you beautiful, wonderful young ladies!
My name is Nicole Burton, and I am 21 years old- not so far out of the woods yet
I am not going to bore you with details about myself, but let me cut to the chase of why I am here:
I need YOUR help. For real. No spam here, no gimmick, no blah-dee-blah.
I sincerely just need your help.
For what?, you may ask.
Well, I have a dream. (please start mentally humming Rapunzel's song in your head in 3...2...1... )
I have a dream and a desire to help pregnant young ladies, like yourself. I am starting a non-profit that will have the following functions:
1) Provide counseling to young ladies who find themselves pregnant
2) Create a client base with potential adoptive families, and act as a liaison between girls choosing to give their child up for adoption (rather than choosing to abort) and the prospective adoptive family.
3) Provide a safe, secure environment for girls to carry their child full term (the Maternity House). The Maternity House will be a refuge for girls who would otherwise be carrying out their pregnancy in an environment that could be dangerous both to her safety as well as to the safety of the baby. In the Maternity House, girls will live full time. We will help provide for their needs, make sure the girls remain healthy throughout their pregnancy, and help prepare them for what is to come.
4) Baby Steps Program:
The Baby Steps Program will provide full-time housing for both single mother and newborn for the first 18 months of the baby's life. During the program, the mother will learn how to take care of her child, how to plan a budget, go to school/finish school/begin college/etc. We will also aid her in getting a job that will help her to provide for herself and her child.
So, you now have an idea of what I am trying to accomplish. Does it seem like something you would like to be a part of? If so, please read on to discover how you help!
I am launching a campaign within the next thirty days to raise money for my non-profit; I want to get it on the ground within the next year.
Would any of you ladies be willing to share your story? I will use your story in my campaign as a way to show A) how necessary a program like this is and B) to showcase the AMAZING young women who have decided they could have a baby. That. Takes. Guts. And I am so proud of you for making that decision.
If you would like to be a part of this venture, please let me know in the replies!!!!
I will set up with you either a Skype interview, or phone interview. Or, if you would rather, I can email you my questions and you can type out an answer to me, or email me a video.
