Ring slings and toddlers

Ilana is not yet walking but cruising like a good'un. She's a big girl, 26lbs, and I havent used my sling much lately (wrap type). Would a ring sling be easier to carry her about with? Often I want to nip round the shops etc but carrying her is a pain as she's so heavy and I can't be faffed with the buggy or the metres of wrap... Is a ring sling a better option?

If so, where can I get one for very little money?!!!

I use one for Izzy, on my hip and its really easy - doesnt feel heavy at all.

i bought 5 yards of material from my local fabric shop and cut it in half again so it is 2.5yards and i have 2 ring slings, you have to tie them with a slip knot instead of a ring but you can buy rings cheaply on ebay and add them on if you really need the rings i can carry my toddler very easily in ours x
