Robitussin vs DM

So I recently heard that Robitussin was good for CM, and I think it's the guaifenesin.
Is Robitussin DM also good while TTC? I know it's got other things in it, but the problem is I have a pretty bad chest cold and a cough suppressant at night would be greatly appreciated lol.

I went to a fertility clinic after my 3rd MC and he told me to use regular Robitussin, not the Robitussin DM. We also used conception lube.

Yeah, I knew the DM wouldn't help with TTC.... I just wasn't sure if it would do any harm. And the more I research, the more it looks like it's more likely bad than good...
