Hi im after a romance book set in either the 30's/40's/50's I was wondering if anyone knows of any that are quite reputable. Thank you :) x

Are you talking about more fiction (harlequin romance type stuff) or could it be more in the lit category?
One that falls a bit more in between could be Echoes or Light a Penny Candle by Maeve Binchy - not a romance per se, but both do have romantic storylines at the core. Actually, she's written several set in the 50/60s.

Hi Thank you for replying, It's for my mum, she can't read anything too in depth so a nice simple ish book is what she likes, she likes romance fiction based on those years. She enjoys Mills and Boon books but there's so many by Mills and Boon with different authors I'm not sure which she would like and she cant remember the author of the ones she's read previously. She likes Little Women and i have just bought her Thursdays in the park which I think she will enjoy, but I'm hoping to find her some based on the 30's/40's/50's eras.
Thank you I will take a look at your suggestions now :) x
