We've just had the most amazing 3 days in Rome, it is the most beautiful city I've ever seen. And it was 35 in the shade!!!!
The hotel was so luxurious, and only 400m from the Colliseum! The food was gorgeous as well. We sat drinking cappucino in a street cafe looking at the colliseum, then 2 hours later were sitting at the Trevi fountain eating ice-cream from what is renound as Italy's finest ice-cream parlour!
We left in the early hours of Sunday morning and arrived back on Tuesday. When we went to pick Charlie up I was so worried that he would have forgotten us!
But he hadn't!!!
The nursery nurse saw us pull up, so she brought Charlie to the front door, and I've never seen such a big smile when he saw us both!!! A really big toothy cheesy grin and he was so excited he was almost crying!!!!
Monday was out wedding anniversary, and we were sitting in a restaurant and they brought us the wine, then the first course, and then (you're not going to believe this...), our first dance song came on! Aerosmith - I don't wanna miss a thing. Not really what you would expect in an Italian Restaurant, but it was such a beautiful moment!
Then when we got back to the hotel, I gave hubbie his anniversay present (well, I wore it!!!
), and he said it was the best day he'd had, apart from the actual wedding day and then the day Charlie was born.
Anyhows, boring photos now!!!
