What do you prefer? I am due in 34 days with my first child and really have no idea... Can you switch them from RTF to powder as long as it's the same type of formula?

How long once RTF is opened is it good in the fridge?

Should I start off with warming up my LO's bottle or try room temp?

Yep. You can switch between RTF and powder, I do.

Once opened, you must use it in 24 hours and keep it refrigerated.

And if it's RTF I ALWAYS warm it up as it was sitting in the fridge. And for powder I use Gerber baby water and it sits on my kitchen counter at room temp. Just pour the water in the bottle and add formula and wa-la!

My son had ready to feed when he was in the hospital and when we got home we immediately changed him to powder since that is what we had at home. He did not have any noticeable problems with the switch.
I feed my son room temp bottles with tap water. I have the appropriate water level already in the bottles and then add the formula and shake. Easy, and no problems so far!
