I was in a rush and didnt have time to let kettle coolbefore I went out... putting 3oz in a bottle to take, with the powder in the dispenser, and another the same for when I got back.
Both bottles have gone a funny shape! :( like, sucked in so now the only way I can use them is to measure the water in another bottle and pour it in, cos the measurements are wrong now! :(

Oh well just means I will have to get some more! Just found out TT do pink ones! :)

Oh that sucks! I melted the rings to our bottles once in the sterilizer and I was so annoyed.

Oh no. I have done that with a drinks bottle before. I want the pink bottles, but havent seen them sold anywhere yet.

we got the pink ones in Boots - they're lovely! They have flowers on them and everything!

The bottles shouldnt cave in or change shape with fresh boiled water - I never allow water to cool - I put it straight from kettle into bottles and it cools in the bottle.....pink ones?????

I died all mine pink once by putting them in the dishwasher with a load of plates covered in pasta sauce! Won't be doing that again as I had to buy new ones... mainly because I have a boy and it was causing confusion at baby group... so what's her name then?!

So do you think I ought to write/email TT and complain then??

The bottles are Defo mis-shaped. I got another TT bottle, the exact same and measured 4oz into it. When I pored this into the other one it came up to about 4 1/2 oz! And no there wasnt water left in it cos it was sat on the windowsill drying all day.

I will try and get a pic

that deffo shouldnt happen, i dont have TT one but i always put boiling water in mine and they are fine (i use avent)

They really shouldn't do that :S how else are you supposed to sterilise them if they buckle under boiling water?! id definitely complain xxx

i use tt and always put boiling water in them n they have never done this x

I have TT and Dr Browns and I always put boiling water in them to cool. Our kettle would take hours or be needed before water cools. Never had a problem with collapsing. I assume you mean like a milk container when you rinse it out under hot tap? I would def make a phone call, seems a bit odd.

I always put boiling water in my bottles too.
Let TT know, apparently they have good customer srvices. :)

It didn't happen immediatly as soon as I put the boiling water in but like after I had screwed the lids on, and came back to them a while later realise they were a funny shape

Mine don't do this either, id speak to TT! I think they have a facebook page which their customer services are pretty good at responding to as well - much easier than calling them or something :)

We use the Boots wide neck bottles, and they go out of shape if I put them in the fridge too soon after using too hot water... I think a vacuum forms in them...
xx

Defo complain. I bet you will have new bottles in the post within a few days. Last thing TT want is an irate mother declaring to the world that their products are faulty!

me too i often put boilin water in mine and there ok..dr brown and mam bottles.

They do go like this, TT know about it too and call it a 'common problem' happened to me..i put hot water into a bottle then when it cooled it looked like this

I put the one on the left to show the size difference..when i queried it with TT i was told tough luck they arent meant for hot water..as when it cools it creates a vacuum effect in the bottle thus sucking it in and shrinking them..
