SA shows zero

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 17 months. I went to my OB/GYN for yearly exam and explained the situation. She ran initial blood work on me that came back perfect.
She ordered an SA on my DH, and it showed zero sperm. Two weeks later, he took another with the same result.
They referred us to a fertility clinic four hours away. I would like to get the initial blood work and possibly physical exam done locally. I live in an area with a great medical community. I am having a hard time believing the no one here can help us with the next step. Any advice on who I should call?
I have called his MD, a urologist, another OB/GYN and an endocrinologist....

Please, help. I'm lost

Bless you! I feel your very pain. It's called azoospermia and my hubby has it as well. First step is a urilogist to check hormone levels to see weither it is obstructive (meaning a blockage) or non-obstructive (meaning testicular failure, etc.). There is a wonderful thread on here called "Dealing with Azoospermia"... everyone on there knows exactally what you are going through and there are lots of great information to get you started!!! Feel free to stop in when you have a minute!!!

Thank you so much for your reply! I will definitely check it out. Newest update is on Friday, a urologist that first said they could help with the initial steps called back to tell me that they'd probably just refer us on to a reproductive center as well....
So, I'll start again today
