Hi,

I'm feeling a bit down today, feeling like it will never happen, four and a half years and counting .

Feels so unfair that there are others on the there 2nd, 3rd, 4th child etc and others that fall pregnant and don't want them, etc. When we like many other couples are still awaiting our first, can't see the justice myself.

Sorry for the down post.

x

Sending :hugs: to you hun. I know its easier said and youve probably heard it before but try and remain positive and remeber one day you will get your BFP x:hugs:

Also dont apologise for the post, we all have our down days and it's nice to know we can come on here for support from others x

I felt this way last week! Its so unfair! We've been trying for 3 and half yrs and it just gets harder and harder! Its all BOLLOCKS!!! ha ha ha! I've gotta laugh otherwise i'll cry!

Just turn to your other half for support. I've found that my dh is really the only one that knows how i'm feeling and he just lets me cry! Hope your feeling better! x

I've been there. I am there! Hope you feel better soon, fairy!! Time is on your side, at least. :hugs:

:hugs: hun.

I fell asleep in tears last night. Just telling hubby I don't think it'll ever happen for us - yet everyone else is just getting pregnant like 123...

Im in better spirits today, but the ups and downs are awful. So I really feel for you :hugs:

Thanks ladies.

DH is my rock but he's also ultra positive you know and just believes it will happen one day. I know i am only 28, but it won't get better with age and we have tried everything we can except IVF, we cannot afford private IVF and i have two years before qualifying on the NHS, so we have run out of options, i don't have regular AF, only 1-2 times a year, in the past 4.5 years we have only had four chances to conceive, 4 ovulations. I wish my cycles were more regular at least then we could try more or less monthly.

I know we all go through this at some point along our journey and most likely more than once, just today is really getting me down.

Thanks for your support.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: to you all.

xx

Aww, everyone here as had those feelings at some point or another. :hugs:

I know you've said you've tried everything, so this was probably one of the first things, but....Have you tried clomid with provera? Clomid really helped me out a lot with regulating my periods. I was going 6 months without at one point, and then when I started clomid, they've been spot on every 32-34 days. I only had to do provera once to bring on my cycle. I hadn't been ovulating either, and now I definitely am!

Why do you have to wait 2 yrs to qualify? Aren't you on any drugs to make your cycles more regular?

Emily - Yeah i did Clomid for 7 cycles, ovulated on first cycle then never again. Didn't regulate me either.

Milliemoo - I have to be 30, its part of the PCT criteria. There isn't anything they can give me for my cycles, i was on Metformin but it didn't regulate them and gave me bad gastro issues, my last GP who has since retired put me on Metformin SR but my new GP won't give me a repeat prescription nor will she give me Provera, in fact she didn't even know what it was, i'm not under a gynae as they discharged me back in 2007?? as there was nothing else they could do for us.

Are injectables or injectables with IUI an option for you with your PCT.

If I can get my BMI down to 30 or less, then I'll be eligible for IVF this time next year - it's about the only +ve thing about hitting 30!

hi fairy,

i know what u mean! i've spent most of this morning crying too..i just completed my first round of clomid and AF is due tommorow. I have started spotting and i just lost it...

My dh is exactly like yours, he is soo optimistic and keeps saying it will happen. Where i am the complete opposite, a pessimist!

hope u start to feel better babe!:hugs:

Foxy - Nope injectables and IUI/injectables are not available on NHS. We did go private though and have two IUI's. both BFN, :(. I need to reduce my BMI too.

Pink - Oh hun, ttc is so hard isn't it. I'm a pessimist too, i try to be positive but it doesn't happen often. :hugs:

xx

OMG, Fairy - Im pretty sure my friends had injectables and IUI on the NHS  But it is such a post code lottery, isn't it?
For example where I live (in Sussex) we only get 1 free IVF whereas my friends in Reading gets 3 free goes....How's that fair?!

Also, no one has ever mentioned to me that you must be over 30 to qualify for IVF! I have a nasty feeling your PCT sucks in all respects :growlmad: Good thing is the new government is abolishing them!!!

Maria - Yeah we are only entitled to one IVF too once i am 30, it was 35 but they dropped it last year. It does suck, i hate the PCT and NHS. Oooh so what happens when they are abolished?.

Get this, i asked for help with losing weight and to see a dietician but they told me they don't send people to dieticians who need to lose weight?!?!...they only send people who need help for medical conditions.

Hi Fairy - sorry your feeling so down :hugs:

I too have been trying a long time (coming up on 3 years - and its my 32nd Birthday today - scary).

Have you ever had acupuncture? I went last year because my periods were really painful and it really helped. And I went back again this year and again it helped.

I have also read of people who didnt have an AF in months and after their 1st Acup session they came on!!! I think you should def give it a try - obviously your body is out of balance and acup can really help get it back on track.

Good luck

Rebarezzelba - I have tried acupuncture yes, several times with several different people and they all said the same thing, due to my fear of needles and other personal issues i have with needles and the amount of stress i experience before and during, the stress counteracts any benefits, plus i was told where i stress out my pores close up which is why i experience so much pain and discomfort with it. Its a nightmare. Thank you though hun.
